Employment Pass Approved, have 2 questions

AlexDuke18

Hi everyone,

Recently my application for EP for knowledge worker was approved and i got Visa with reference in the embassy in my country. My flight to KL is on next Tuesday and i just want to check two things just in case.

1. Last December i had problems at the Singaporian border where they didn't allow me to enter the country from Malaysia  (land border). They sent me back to Malaysian immigration with some letter where i got special pass to leave the country in 7 days, which i did.
My question is, is there a chance that i have a ban to enter Malaysia somewhere and that i don't know about it? My guess is no since after that incident i applied for EP and i got it 2 months ago, which should mean Malaysian Immigration checked everything thoroughly and there was no ban, correct?

2. Is there anything else i need to have with me for my trip other than Visa with reference? I mean, what is the procedure now, do i need to have any additional documents with me like job contract, letter from employer, letter from MDEC, diplomas...whatever? Or i just enter the country with that Visa and go for the EP.

Thank you and hope to see you soon.

The visa with reference is arranged so that you can enter. It's a pre-approval.

Usually the company issues you with a letter stating you are arriving to work for them. Plus bring all other paperwork about the job and clearance processes. You may need to present your certificates CTC (certified true copy) but it would be unusual when MDEC has arranged the visa with immigration.
