TEFL certification + practicum necesary for teaching English?

GuestPoster904

I am currently living in Puerto Rico and there is simply no way for me to do the practicum unless it is online.  However, I've watched YouTube vlogs and no one ever mentions the practicum.  I know I need 120 hours certificate from a reputable organization but do I need to do the practicum?  I am assuming it would impact your pay? Maybe?  Or simply the school you get into?  Please help.  I've looked everywhere with no answer.

Hi Jose, I would suggest you talk to HR directly about the requirements.

To find employers in China:

51Job, I use a lot, has an English web page: https://www.51job.com/default-e.php

BOSS zhipin, no English: https://www.zhipin.com/

Zhilian Zhaopin, no English: https://www.zhaopin.com/

Or even you should try to find people on LinkedIn and ask.

In China, some institutes are very popular, including EF, Wall Stree English, Menten. Go try your luck and ask their local (city) HR manager. You will find better answers from them.
