i can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh lord

Angus Bono

Hello you all good old expat friends i won't ever know, I just arrived in Siem Reap ... well, 6 months ago, in case nobody cares...

Guess what, I'm a 40-year old male westerner who got the brilliant and unique idea to leave the crazy western world because, after reading the page in the Lonely Planet, I realized that, yah, Siem Reap is the real life, babe.

I have the feeling there is so much to do here even though I've been doing nothing much since I arrived 6 months ago, and I now consider opening a German restaurant for the German tourists who come to Cambodia to enjoy Frankfurt sausages (similar previous culinary experiences are most welcome to be heard, by the way).

Yah, I also really feel close to the Khmer culture, I already follow a Khmer class at the Korean Cultural Center (the Taiwan Cultural Center is 1$/month more expensive) even if I suspect the teacher is from a remote Japanese island which name I forgot, but I'm quite sure it is claimed by China too. Or maybe by Filipino.

Anyway, I already spent 2 full days in Angkor, actually 30 minutes/day during 32 days, from 5.30pm till 6.00pm. I visited about 15% of each main temple, but for free, ha! ha! (Clever, right?)

By the way, I'm broke, homeless and looking for a job. The 3 probable reasons why my Vietnamese girlfriend left me on last valentine day during our honeymoon in Bangkok, but I'm still investigating the case. Yah, that means I'm single too, right? But no hurry ha!ha!...

So if anyone wishes to pay me a 0,50$ beer or preferably a 300$/month appartment(furnished), I may consider the offer.
(I may consider a job too, but we'll probably have to negotiate)

I might consider making everlasting friends too, depending on the above.

No doubt Siem Reap is full of good expat Samaritans, so it is with full confidence that I already await your numerous messages.

Thanks Aurelie.
Would you consider opening a "I'm a loser in Siem Reap" section? So many potential followers around town, I being their prophet :)
