Advice on buying a used car in Kampala.

Hi all, I'm new to Kampala and find I'll need a car. I'm looking for advice and information...I'm thinking of a 2 door Rav 4 but I'm open to others. I haven't got a lot to spend. Also, anyone know if i can drive here with a DRC license or do I need to get a Uganda one? Thanks in advance, Karen

Salut,
The DRC license might not be accepted in Uganda since DRC is not part of the East African Community. However, you can apply for an international driving permit which is acceptable in Uganda.

To buy a used car, you need to approach the seller to have the car inspected. For this i can advise with a few colleagues who deal with travel that have the used cars.
