Taking my UK Chromecast to Uganda

I am moving to Uganda soon and wanted to know if anyone has experience of using a UK Google Chromecast in Uganda. Do you know if it would work? Would I need to connect it using a VPN?

Any advice much appreciated, thanks.

Yes you can configure your chormecast to a different country. When you set up your chromecast device, just choose the region you want it then it will be configured according to your region.
