Gifts to bring?

Hi we're visiting some friends in Victoria, I was wondering what sort of gifts would be welcome? If there anything that is expensive in Seychelles or hard to get? We live in London.

Everything is hard to get in Seychelles and everything is expensive.I think you better get you friend a useful gift and not based on price tag.

Why not rather ask your friends what they want than ask a bunch of strangers? This is not the dark ages and most of life's luxuries and neccessities are available here. Johannesburg and Dubai is half a day away and yes, most of what we get here is expensive but still available. If you were my friend I want you to get me something from your heart and not your wallet.
Now.......what I would like as a gift from the UK is Larson's Far Side comic strips (less than 10 pounds) and NOT Walker's Shortbread as we can get all the flavours from our local grocers.
But that is me and I am easy to please. It depends on your friends' tastes.
