Tourist visa from USA

Hi Sea Angel,
Just got off the phone with the People's bureau in DC...and I got the same crap that I always get - "we don't issue tourist visas".  Canada says they do on their website for $102 Canadian or US.  According to all that I have read, you secure the visa authorization number from a travel agency there and this number has to be sent somewhere to get the visa.  My first visa came from the bureau in the US and my second one came from the airport in Benghazi...in other words, I have not used a travel agency.  I have no idea what kind of visas they were... the one that I got in BG was just a stamp on my US passport.  Not much help I know but I'll keep trying as I don't have an anwer to my question yet either.

anyway  i'm not in Libya now , but i'm sure they still do it
