The ways countries define 'skilled migrants' for visa purposes

Kevohdell

My name is Kevin O'Dell and I am a migration research intern in the Netherlands (UNU-MERIT). I particularly research content for public outreach and education on assorted migration topics. Among these publications are YouTube videos (non-monetized; we don't get paid for clicks).

Just this week, we published an overview of how "highly skilled migrants" are defined for visa purposes in the USA, UK, China, New Zealand, and the EU (particularly the Netherlands and EU Blue Card). This guide sparked some useful conversations already on Reddit so I deemed it helpful to post here as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5v8vop … e=youtu.be

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

I like it; I'll ask that this be made a sticky post.
