Combined names in egy birth certificates

Hello Everyone :)

We are expecting a baby nd we wanted to give it a combined name, but it's illegal in egypt.
if i have a european birth certificate issued with both names, can i pick which name is suitable for the egyptian one or do i have to change the european certification to match the egyptian with one name only?

Thanks in advance

Hello
I think you would netter change the European certificate
I was born in Australia and I have a combined name (Ahmed Amir) and they could easy prove it in the Australian certificate

There is no need to change any certification.
Your child can be given any name what you like or choose but for the Egyptian law (as in every Arabic country) he or she will be named after the father and grandfather too.

For example if you want to name your son Ahmad, and the fathers name is Amin and his grandfather Abdallah, then he will be named as Ahmad Amin Abdallah plus the surname of the father.

But for the country of your origin it will be the names as you want it too (name and surname). To stick with the previous example: Ahmad plus surname.
