Is 24 k enough to have a decent life in shanghai

24k RMB is more than enough.. I think you can afford two girl friends and still have decent money to spend for yourself and save..

Also, it depends on how much you intend to save every month..

he clearly mentioned it's CNY, which is the same as RMB.

Sure 24k is a good amount even for Shanghai, should be able to have a great time and save abit too...
Id say for a good expat lifestyle in Shanghai it will cost around 15k, but it really depends how good you want to make it
