Can anybody tell what are the basic things advisable to carry from India. we are Indian couple with single daughter 10 years old. Suggestions are welcome.

You would get everything that you get in India over here in singapore. May be a bit pricy , but yes you would get it. Try visiting Mustafa centre in little India and i am sure you wont be dissapointed.

Bring an open mid, a sense of adventure and enough cash (Singapore is NOT cheap!).

My husband is Indian and we often shop in mustafa shopping centre. it's open 24 hours! you can get everything here but more pricy as what others said. no need to bring kitchen utensils, coconut flesh, fruit and veggies as my neighbor before did! OMG!

You can stay arround jurong east near temple . things there are not expansive .
