I have JUST moved here from London (moved here yesterday) I am also looking to make new friends and meet new people. I have taken to joining a few clubs such as yoga, in the hope of meeting some new people. I am not a massive party goer but also love to socialise outside of work (I work for a design agency)

Welcome! I am so glad to hear that - because I have been here a little over a week now and it's just so hard to make friends. I'm not a huge party goer either, but when you work 6 days a week and see the same people all day, every day, it starts driving you nuts! Haha.

Hi Maria, My name is Krish. I am also from London and have lived in the Abu Dhabi for nearly 2 1/2 years.

We have all been in the same position, but luckily I work for a British company so there are quite a few of us that go out and have a few drinks and socialise.

Hi Maria, 

I am off to the left bank (be in al jazrain) on sunday evening. I love the place. It's a great place to make new friends, the kind where you can walk up to most people and say hi and not get a perverse response. I usually hang out there with my brother, collegue and pals.

But I'll be going alone tonight if you turn me down. Least I can do is show you one of abu dhabis best kept secrets.
