Match making question

First off, I'd like to say that this is a great community with many interesting topics

I'd like to ask the community to see based off your personal knowledge and experience, do you know if there are any matchmaking service, meetups, or introductions in Vietnam that targeted to connecting high-class (wealthy) locals and expats?

Personally, I (and perhaps most) would definitely love to be in a relationship with someone who can hold their own ground in terms of finance in any country they live in.

Thanks and I hope this topic does not offend anyone either.

Hahahaha... "high-class"?!? What a funny word!!! :lol::lol::lol:

No, the topic does not but the wording you used make me laugh :lol::lol: - I think you can find some services provider in China... Hahahaha

Care to elaborate why you'd find the word "high class" people in Vietnam funny? Do tell and share your experience (if it is appropriate) as I am interested on why you are amused by this.

Thanks!

As for me the word "high class" and women denotes a call girl (prostitute) who only services the wealthy men. These are women that are educated and may in fact have a solid career. They cater to businessmen who wish to be escorted to private functions and can hold there own in a semi business setting. Of course I live in Las Vegas for 18 years so MHO may be off base.

Thailand has the best service providers, there is no way the ones in China are as good unless they are Thai on a working vacation.

If you want to find financially sound mate, then you will get a second/third hand or a Attila Elizabeth girl :D with a beautiful face and sexy body :D
Match making is out of fashion now. Better meet someone and try to understand them. Whether they can live with you happily long time rather than checking their financial background. We need money for living but money cannot give happiness in life most of the time!

You will find that many women who are wealthy are too busy running a business and dont really look for anyone. You will also find people that are wealthy will tell you they are not. You cant judge them just on how they look and dress, as some are so in debt just to look the part hoping to catch someone who is actually wealthy.Just my observations from living here, maybe its right, maybe its wrong but its the way I see things working.

There are others who are wealthy because they have an offshore "sugar daddy" or boyfriend (who's likely married to another woman in his home country), and are very loyal to that person because he is her source of income. Most don't risk losing that by playing around here with other men, but some do. If you meet a girl who seems to have it all together, but also seems to have a lot of free time on her hands for shopping, dates, dining out, etc., it's very likely she's one of these.

Gatorade, I think you need to re-think your requirements for an acceptable mate here in Vietnam. Just look for a good, honest girl (with a level of attractiveness that's acceptable to you), and don't place too much emphasis on her socioeconomic standing and background. She may be able to "hold her own ground" as you say, or maybe not. You'll just have to determine that after you get to know her, and go from there.

Charma, WHAT are you talking about?? Are you trying to say that the only acceptable girls in Vietnam are the ones who ride this particular model of scooter? There may be SOME correlation between the background of a girl and the kind of scooter she rides (I often wonder about the girls riding the higher-end models - where did the money come from for that?), but to pass judgement on anyone based on their scooter preference is just crazy talk!

How can I know whether my experience is approriated to you? Also, I cannot find any reason to share with you my experience as it's invaluable :lol::lol:

So, what's your "American definition" of "high-class"? Since when people "classify" people? I am not good at history, hence, it would be great if you can let me know.  But from your post, I understand "your high-class" means rich, and holding high-degrees?!?

I believe everywhere in the world, there are many people who are not rich, not well educated but they do know how to treat people right.  Those people are deserved to be "high-class".

Your wording sounds funny to me as I am not sure if you really are a American... haha... American people!!!:lol::lol:

Except when it's a woman looking at a man's motorbike.
A sports bike is way more expensive and way more stylish than an SH,BUT  if you don't have an SH,you won't get a second glance.

Awww...c'mon Jim... I was specifically referring to a foreigner's judgement of a Vietnamese lady, based on which motorbike she rides. What's the matter? Your new sports bike not getting you the hot sexy tail you had hoped for when you bought it?:D I have a SH, and probably get more looks from Vietnamese men than ladies, but it's all about what I've done to the bike, and nothing to do with me. If you want your bike to attract the ladies, maybe you should paint it pink, or something.:D

SM!
I think you are here long time :D
Don't you know majority of beautiful girls uses these kind of attractive color scooters? I saw some real and traditionally wealthy girls not much interested in these kind of scooters. They just drive less attractive and cheapest one. Because they don't need to show up someone. It's not blaming all who uses that kinds but you can see if you spend some evenings outside! Majority of that kind girls' symbol is that attractive model scooters.

I'm thinking of buying a Minsk... will that get me any looks??

Charma, I think the OP needs better advice for finding a "high class" lady than simply telling him to look at her scooter. I've seen a couple of girls who rode the scooter you describe, and I know they were both prostitutes! Now, I'm not saying all girls who ride Attila Elizabeth scooters are prostitutes, but neither can you say they're all beautiful and "high class".

I've been here over 7 years. I get out, and I'm as observant as any human male in Saigon when it comes to noticing attractive ladies on motorbikes. And I've seen them on all makes and models. Unfortunately, most of them completely cover their faces and heads to block the sun, and now they've got the wrap-around long skirts that cover their legs from the sun. These innovations are really cutting down my viewing enjoyment. :)

Just out of my curiosity, but why would a wealthy woman want you?

Are you rich? young? handsome? attractive? excellent in bed? smart? understanding?

If you're from "high class", you will automatically hang out with people "high class" like you. Otherwise, if you're just a normal man, then better learn to accept a normal woman! Just my 2c

I know what he's talking about.  The Cherry Red Attila Elizabeth scooters always turn my head...I think I almost crashed my motorbike once.  So when I'm on the road and I get a glimpse of a Red Attila either in front of me or coming from behind, I keep telling myself....do not look at her legs...do not look at her...DO NOT..focus on the road damn you!

Ouch!  But you know Ngan Khanh, I think you bring up an interesting point.  A high class man can chose a high class woman, a middle class woman, or a low class parasite, but a high class woman however, only wants a high class man, am I right?

Dang! Ngan Khanh hit that nail on the head! Yes, there are such things as high class women at all socio-economic levels, HOWEVER, if you are looking for an educated woman steeped in Vietnamese culture then: 1) Speak at least some Vietnamese. 2) French might even help. 3) Travel within their milieu, and 4) Make sure you are a high class male.

My 'em oi' and I have been together for 30 years, so I am out of the market. However, I have met some very high class Vietnamese women. The younger ones include a dentist, a doctor, a banker, and a language school owner. I met them at seminars, workshops and in their practices. And had I been a young, professional, single male, I would have asked any of them out.

Look, act, and be High Class, and you will attract classy ladies.

A Russian-American coworker of mine who played classical piano could attract a bevy of classy single ladies just by sitting down at a hotel lounge piano and tapping the keys. The fact that he was young, single, attractive, and personable helped. As my Irish grandmother would say: Balloon juice (Hot Air) is cheap, but good breeding tells.

Honda 67 could make you sexier :D:D:D - a husband, a wife and a kid on Honda 67 before 1975! You can google a picture of a lovely family on Honda 67 :D

Xin chao. Em dep lam! [Hello, you are very beautiful]
Is that enough?

Depending on your voice level and body language, it could be a damned good start. Just don't get complacent after a few pat phrases. If she is upper class, she will generally speak a language other than Vietnamese. But don't let that stand in the way of your learning progress.  Xin Chao, di len trong hoc cua anh di. I am old, fat, ugly but for some reason popular with the women. Bedroom skills, guess you need to find out for yourself, but remember I am not easy......Yesterday afternoon riding my old motorbike back to the hotel after teaching at school a young lady began talking to me as we were driving.  We stopped, she invited me to coffee, took photos exchanged phone numbers. Life is good.

everyone has their own preference in terms of who they would like to build their relationship with. For most people, relationships are formed based off looks, personality, age, or money. Unfortunately, there are people who forms their relationship strictly based off money and looks, thus you have the old taking advantage of the young, or vice versa.

Some of you may think I am full of myself (a joke) since I am looking for a group of people who is "high class", but really, it would be great knowing people who not think twice about money because like myself, they already have enough to live anywhere in this world

Money would no longer be the focused, but rather, personality becomes priority!!

Oh I understand what you're after and don't think you're full of yourself.  Here's my answer to your original question.  You need to form friends with males in the, for simplicity sake, I'll call it a caste system, high caste.  They're many of them in Hà Nội and Hồ Chí Minh City.  Generally you'll meet them through business meetings, conventions such as the recent car show, at golf courses, or on the tennis courts.  After they find out that you're one of them in that caste and are available, they will introduce you to their relatives or friends in the same caste.  The women will be more acceptable to connect with you because you've already been screened and you know they're not after your wallet.

Going through a broker (I don't know if this is even legal since I keep reading about Chinese Men getting busted when they come to look for wives), website, etc. is pointless because as many have said here, the high caste ladies don't bother wasting their time and are busy studying law, medicine, or developing their businesses.

Thank you Mia, I am a lucky man.  THD you wear cool armor, I thought that was for the women on the elizabeth....

not the kind of looks they are talking about, I suspect.

I miss American coffee.  This stuff that's served here in Việt Nam is French drip and you get like a "spoonful" of liquid.  I like the mug size, warm cup, that you can guzzle down.  It's a great drink when the weather is cold outside.  Warms you on the inside as well as your hands.

http://s4.hubimg.com/u/4438659_f260.jpg

Often times people look at me weird when I massively dilute the French coffee to simulate American coffee.

Not me, Mate. In the U.S. I drink my morning tea. It Vietnam, anyplace from Hue south has far better coffee than you can get in the U.S. IMHO. Also love the cafe da!

THD, you can go to an electronics shop and buy an auto-drip coffee maker to make American-style coffee here. I have a Philips coffee maker that makes 2 large cups I drink every morning. Of course, I use Vietnamese Trung Nguyen coffee, but I think it tastes better than Columbian coffee anyway.

Thanks for the tip.  I like the diner style.  Where you to a diner and get eggs and toast and a waitress comes around every few minutes filling it up to keep it warm.  "Lemme warm it up for you hun".  The mugs are usually thick and you get a separate cup of milk and a can of real sugar for you to mix at your pleasure.
