After making our "trail Run" in a week, we plan to move to Ecuador in November with our therapy dogs. We understand that American, LAN, COPA, TACA, Avianca, KLM, and liberia airlines all fly out of Guayaquil. Has anyone carried on a service dog or a pet that might share their experiences?

Jackie don't wait on this issue for advice. You need to be on point with the airline you choose for their individual policy regarding service dogs.
Keep in mind pets will be treated differently so I'd stay away from using that term and push the service issue. Pick one or more carriers and start seeking answers to your questions from them.
That insures you have accurate up to the minute specifics on this issue.

Thinking further about this, another critical detail to address is the planes size. I see you're flying inter country which may mean smaller aircraft so, that is why I stress you speak directly to the airline you desire to fly with to determine their capability to meet your needs.
