For the ones living in Bangkok, what would you suggest to discover the region?
When you have friends or family visiting you, where do you go with them? What are the must-see places in Bangkok, the tourist sites?
How to visit the region in an original way? Any unusual or unknown place to recommend?
What would you suggest for a couple of days of for a week of holidays in Bangkok?

If in BKK you would probably go Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Phra Kaew, Khao San Rd in the evening, Asiatique. Just to name a few of the major spots.

When my family comes down we go to the following:
Dreamworld, Safari World, MBK/Paragorn, Asiatique, Grand Palace, Cruise on the river Khwai
With friends, we hit up the rooftop bars and other hot bars. I would recommend going to the following:
Octave Rooftop Bar at Marriott Sukhumvit 57 (facebook.com/OctaveMarriott) and also lots of places in Sukhumvit soi 11 and Thong lo area.
