Divorce registration in Morocco

Hi,

I have my Absolute Decree issued in UK under UK Court.

My ex-partner (Morocco), needs to register this divorce in Morocco.

So i having the UK Absolute Decree document apostilled (authentication) and certified and translated into Arabic.

My question is does the translation document (Arabic) needs to apostille or be accepted as an true copy of the original UK divorce document in the Family courts in Morocco.

Thanks in advance.

@radius21 You‘ll probably need to legalise it at the UK embassy or consulate here in Morocco.

@radius21

does not accept as the original copy.  I think, you should have a "certified" translator with it then it should be ok. The translation services in Morrocco and Jordan are acceptable for US immigration and US courts. Just an example and it sounds reasonable.

I would just have the translation first and try. Hope that help.

@radius21 The Uk court would have also served him the degree absolute via mail, as they did that to my ex husband also moroccan, so if he has these papers why cant he do it himself?!

Thanks for the update. Much appreciated for all your inputs.

Hi,

In order for it to be considered a ligitament court document (in Morocco), it needs to be professionally translated and certified.

@Assah Fi

correct. any translation company in US will be good for Morrocco or vice versa.
