Hello Everyone
I would like to know if anyone had had the experience or know what could happen if you miss registering at an address to obtain the definitive BSN number after 4 months (and you still work in the Netherlands with a contract). What could happen if you register in the 5th or 6th month?
I appreciate any help you can give
kind regards

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

Just go to the Gemeente where you registered on the RNI and inform them that you are now living and working in the Netherlands permanently.

Hope this helps.

Hello, thanks for the welcome Cynic. I still have the doubt.
I am working with a contract in the Netherlands and the RNI already gave me a temporary BSN number which is valid for 4 months. My problem it's that I have difficulties having an address that permits registration to obtain the BSN number.
So my question is what could happen to me if a go to the Gemmente to register after the 4 months, for example, 2 months later (month 6), in other words, if I stay more than 4 months with the temporary BNS without registration?
I appreciate any help you can give
kind regards

Hi again.

If the place where you are staying does not permit registration, then you have answered your own question.  If you are not properly registered, you are not allowed to work in the Netherlands.

My advice remains the same, go to the Gemeente and ask there.

There’s no difference in the registration requirements of RNI or the permanent databases; the BSN you get remains the same.

Hello my partner and myself are coming to Amsterdam to work for 4 months is this possible to do with just the 4 month visa? I have a eu passport and she is a Australian but we can get the 1 year working visa, can we get work with a temporary 4 month BSN? We will be staying in 1 airbnb for the whole time

I've pretty much answered this in response to the PM you sent me.  With regards to the RNI, please read the thread above this, there is no benefit to going on the RNI and it's not really for people in the position you described to me.  You can't apply in advance for either, have to provide the same information and not all Gemeente's offer the RNI facility.
