Converting my Canadian drivers license to UAE license

Hi everyone ,

I have a question I need help wid understanding how to convert my Canadian drivers license to UAE license.
Do I need something from here before I move there.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you're in Abu Dhabi, you can just go to The Light Vehicles Registration Office on Muroor road (Google maps has it).

Bring your original passport, original Emirates ID, your Canadian driver's license, translation of the license into Arabic (you can get it done at any typing center, they might have one at the center), and about 800dhs.

Once you walk in, just ask the staff and they'll guide you on the steps. You'll need to submit the documents, then do an eye test, and then wait for processing.

It will probably take 1-2 hours.
