Hajj with mahram on a different iqama or non-resident

Post new topic

Manal Syed

Assalamualaikum! Ramadan mubarak!

I am an unmarried dependent female in Saudi Arabia on my father's iqama.
I have a brother working in Saudi Arabia on his own iqama, and another brother in the US who does not have iqama any more.

I want to perform hajj next year in sha Allah, but my father does not want to go as my mahram if it's possible to go with my brothers.

So my questions are:

1. Can my brother who has his own iqama be my mahram? Will I be able to get a hajj permit with him?

2. Is there any way for me to go to hajj with my brother in the US? Is it possible for me to register as a domestic pilgrim, and he travels from the US and joins me in Jeddah?

Or can he get a hajj permit from Saudi Arabia if he first comes here on a family visit visa?

Or I have a US visit visa. Can I go to the US and register from there and travel with him?

Basically I'm looking for any possibility to perform hajj with either of my brothers. Please let me know if anyone has any information, or if you know who I can ask.

Thank you!

Thanks for your response! Yes I'm a resident of KSA.
Sorry, but what is Rabwa Jaliyat? Do you mean the dawa centre?

Walaykum Salam,
Hajj for 2021 is limited like last year bcoz of covid
It is not cleared yet if this year govt will allow international travellers.
Domestic pilgrims on iqama will perform hajj based on slot availability and tashri as per the packages announced by hajj ministry I hope so.

International pilgrims will perform hajj on Hajj visa not on family visit visa even if he is a US citizen.

Yes brother can be mahram but the point of joining in jeddah I think it will be a different terminal if he comes.

I am not sure locals can join there from hajj terminal.
From Riyadh no problem if you are with your brother.

I hope you will qualify for this great achievement and intention.
Allah khair.
