Moving down in less than two months!

Hi everyone. My name is Mike and I just wanted to introduce myself since we'll be heading that way as early as November 1st (Hopeful).

We're a family of 4. My wife and I, and our two kids, 4 and 9. We've spent LOTS of time in PR including renting down there for a month-long test run.

We will be staying on the west coast in Aguada just renting for at least the first six months. We'll be looking at buying a place there during this time. Aguada, Aguadilla, Rincon, Isabela, etc..

We have downsized to a small amount of things and are shipping our belongings down with u-ship soon. Also shipping down our car so we don't have to deal with buying a new one down there. Hoping I don't get killed on the excise, but we probably will.

Still working out details on a few things but we're pretty squared away. Looking forward to getting to know some other expats once we're on island!

Congratulations and great decision! I love the islands, unfortunately I have 14 months before I retire at 62 and I too plan to live in Rincon, Aguadilla, Aquada general area. Its wonderful isn't it? While I am not there yet I know the area very well due to many many trips over the past 25 years.

You will love it, thekids might need an adjustment, but stay positive!!

Still roughly on target. Logistics with shipping the car down pushed us to November 23rd. Looking forward to it!
