I am coming over for a very long stay. I would like recommendations for the best health insurance. I will need to purchase before leaving the United States.

Your best bet is to look at international providers like AETNA, BUPA, CIGNA and the rest. Their websites will give you their local agents to contact and give quotes.
There are also many local providers to compare with but international providers have higher limits and wider benefits.
