What is "wax paper" in Portuguese

Finding good sources for cooking/kitchen equipment here (Paraíba) is not as easy as back home (Wisconsin). Simple things sometimes require extensive searches and often solutions exist in OTHER cities larger than mine. I usually end up making trips to Recife to take advantage of the [still limited] marketplace there.

I've found parchment (baking) in Recife at Haluli on R Santa Rita but nobody seems to use wax paper here. I don't even know what to ask for. I need it for making pie crusts and could use it for food storage as well.

Ideas for what I should be asking for?
Matt

The closest Brazilian equivalent generally is considered to be  "papel manteiga".  It's not the same, but it can be used in most of the ways we use wax paper.

I use papel de manteiga. It´s good enough!
