Happy new year to all, may i ask some advice from u guys. what are the medicine to be take if you have hepa b, what are the things to do?I read something about hepa and there was this 4life transfer factor which can help boost immune system. is it true it can help lower the infection. need your help!!

hi, if its the first time that ur wife will have the medical test for employment i mean for new visa and she is positive Hepa carrier im sorry but im afraid they might cancel the visa for new application...

i consulted the doctors they say that she is not harmful to others her PCR is negative that means that the virus is in inactive stage. The Seha has clearly mentioned in the card on the back side that "this test is conducted to prevent the communicable disease".

according to the doctors in other hospital she is not harmful. My question is whether we can request to do the same PCR test in Khalifa hospital and ask them to have a good look at the report?, coz if we find the same report may be they grant us permission

I have I news that might open a hope for people who are checking this forum, especially who are HBV positive and going to renew their visasbut might also be hopeless for new comers. Just to notify that the source is not an official person. Last Wdenesday, I went to SEHA "Prevention Medicine and Screening Center", the exclusive center for medical tests for visas in Abu Dhabi city. I asked the receptionist about the case of HBV carriers for medical test to get visas. He told me that the persons who are going for visa renewal and their jobs are not related to Food handling, Medical/Health staff, Nursery teachers, Saloons, primary school teachers will not be tested HBV. Other oners will be tested and if positive, they are likely to be deported.

      when you have hbv +ve means you may test +ve for atleast 6 months. but since you said you had some injections take it could be interferron treatment which helped you to show -ve result, but still make sure that you do your treatment properly and bedrest will be advisable. have a good control on your diet. donot take drinks,fatty food or any use salt.you have to give absolute rest for your liver for atleast 6 months. the best diet will be fruit juices and coconut juice will also be better for you.let me see if i can help you with an ayurvedic medicine,its a leaf which you make juice and drink.by the way i am a pharmacist here. you can contact me for any help at 050 3795233 or mail me at shajibasher786@yahoo.com. take care.

I have been in consultancy for sometime now and do frequently get approached by employers for job. I have a very good job offer in hand which i am not accepting because i don't know what will happen in the medical. What i have assessed so far that if you renew VISA you dont have problem but if you change jobs you might have issues. I would appreciate some advise.
What if i get a company registered in my name from RAK freezone or any freezone in dubai and if i am found positive who are they going to approach becuase i will be the sponsor myself. Can we work on something like this? Just thinking about possibilities.

One of my friend went for his father visa renewal and he managed to speak to the doctor about the Medical tests.
The doctor said,
You will be checked for everything including hepb if,
1. You are new in the country and applying for residence.
2. You switch jobs outside freezone, from non freezone to freezone and vice versa.
You will be checked only for HIV if,
1. You are renewing the VISA anywhere i.e. Free or non freezone.
2. You switch jobs from one free zone to another company.

This finding is pretty much aligned with previous post so we can pretty much conclude that the above process is the right one.

Hope this helps. Any news in change in rules that anyone have then please share.

hello,i hope this is true bcoz my husband is worried when  time comes for his visa renewal nex year. I hope rules for medical test will change again. There so many people with this problem is really affected, they just come to dubai to earn for their living and to help their families.

I'm so happy for those who passed the tests.  I'm still in the Philippines and may not be going back to Dubai for a few more years as I'm having a great job here now - so much better than what I had in Dubai.

My message is this, things happen for a reason. It takes our unwavering faith to believe that those reasons work for us in the long run. 

These days, I'm actively doing research on a particular herb that directly kills the virus and regenerates the liver into seroconversion.  My goal is to achieve seroconversion. And I seriously think that I have found exactly how to do it.  Now, I only need your help and support to work with me on this.  We might not live long enough to see this through completion but I want to impart the message that this illness will bring out the hero in each of us rather than breaking our spirits and pulling as down.

       you will be checked for hepatitis b. but you are saying that you were a passive carrier and your wife and kid doesnt have it. if you are a carrier in any forms your wife will be having it.

so make sure yourself to check it for hbv.i am a pharmacist working in dubai. i know many people who were checked hbv +ve and were banned for entering for 1 year, which clearly says that you cannot be a passive carrier since 93. get the help of a doctor .

i feel you are all right. why to put you in tension. get checked for hbv

I'm new to this forum...

My knowledge is that...Anyone can be a hepaB positive and still be a passive carrier or not infectious.

Being a hepaB positive (HBs Ag) has many "profile".

My wife is positive with (HBs Ag) which we discovered more than 10 years ago, yet until now I am still negative.

When we visit the specialist very recently, he perform a test to determine the "profile" of the hepaB and the result and the doctor's explanation is:

- HBe Ag negative (meaning the virus is nil or very minimal that it rarely is transmited to others), and;
- Anti HBe positive (meaning she has anti-bodies which eliminates further production of hepaB virus.

It is automatic than once your positive of HBe Ag, you will be negative of Anti-HBe and vice versa.

HBv + ve is when you were infected with the virus and detected within 6 months from infection. At this stage there is a big possibility to be complete healed if treated correctly.

Sad to say that UAE is only testing for (HBs Ag) with no consideration whether you have anti-bodies or you are not infectious.

I have the same problem with you guys not able to bring my wife here on residence visa because of this...AND I'M AFRAID THIS MAY AFFECT OUR RELATIONSHIP...

Still hoping that UAE gov. will reconsider their law.

My case is nearly d same with Vengates, i'm having this Hepa B since '96 my husband n my son not infected n they already got vaccine. I came to work in Dubai in 2004 n i got 3 times visa residence here, 1st when i joined with the first company for 2,5 years n second when i moved to another company for a year n third when i joined to my husband visa until last April'09 due to my husband's contract is finished. So i was bit surprised when i got my first residence visa bcos at that time i was infected with Hepa B n also d second n d third, and now my husband is coming back to work in UAE n i found out about new rule in UAE thru this forum, right now i'm under visit visa but if i have to do visa run every 3 months n out of country for a month it's gonna cost us lot of money. 

I never want to be infected with any disease and nobody else want and we all want to live the same as other normal human being without any discrimination n embarassment.

So hopefully d rules will change very soon and can anybody please advice for the cure or the treatment for Hepa B, what need to be eat or not n what medication need to take.

What is seroconversion ?? n what is d chance for people with Hepa B to get seroconversion.

I am new comer to this blog, I was reading this posts since couple of days, thought of joining since i am also a victim of this.  I have one question for all, I am working in UAE since 16 years, and i came to know that i was infected since 5 years, and 1 1/2 years back i moved to abudhabi for job, and got the visa for 3 years, but now i got another good job(very good offer) and wanted to join that, but i read some news that they are checking for hep.b for everyone and they are deporting, and also i read some posts that some have got the fit certificate after the committee decided.  Now i am in dilema whether to go for new job or continue till 1 1/2 years and wait for the next renewal.  Anyone tell me if i change my job now what will be the situation.

New rule was implemented July of 2008, i was so lucky i had my medical a month before that. We'll my husband's co-league got deported though he was here in the gulf for a long time because he changed job.

Man i would advise not to take any chances. i dont know your current job situation but i have a similar issue where have got good offer but have said no because the risk was too high.
Hang in there wait and hope may be the rules will change.

There is one possibility that might go with you. You ask your current employer to give you NOC and make visa transfer rather than cancellation. I think (AND YOU NEED TO RECHECK AND CONFIRM)that for visa transfer you will deal only with immigration and you do not need to do that medical test which you will do only for renewal after your visa expiry (one and half year later) and for visa renwall there are more chances to get the medical fit certificate.

Take care and check first if this is possible before you make any decision.

hi can someone please clarify the understanding that i have of this issue: from what i gather it is only possible to obtain the residency visa (if one has hep b) is if the visa is a renewal and not included in one of the 6 categories specifically mentioned? there is no way to get the residency visa for a housewife if it is a first time application?

I am in the same situation as all of U are, I am a Filipina working here in Dubai since 2006, I got my 1st residence visa for 3 years and was expired last Dec 2009. I am aware that I am a HEPA B carrier, I have taken my chances and up to this day I am here working for the same company. It was a dilemma for me to take up the medical test for renewal of my visa, as I know the fact that they got new rules here. I got my visa after 5 days time stamped in my passport valid up to 2012.

Points to consider:
- check out the website DHA, they got the medical Test required for certain categories
- dont apply for jobs which will be link with FOOD & HOSPITALITY (HEPA test will always be a big consideration)
- If your work is not in the Food industry & Customer service (Frontliners), you have a better chance to get the Working visa approval.
