Hi everyone,
Hoping to get some help on information about getting a residence permit in Shanghai if HIV+. Still going through interviews but on the final stages.
I've been getting conflicting info but bottomline is: does anyone know if Shanghai will approve my residence permit if I am HIV+?

You cannot obtain a residence permit unless you have a Z-visa.
You cannot have a Z-visa unless you pass the physical exam.
The odds of you passing the physical exam being HIV+ is small.
Sorry for the bad news. I would suggest that you look at other nearby nations, such a Vietnam, Laos, or Cambodia that will not have such restrictions.
