Huambo

Seeing that most most topics on this forum is about Luanda, I thought I would share a little with you guys on Huambo.

Huambo is a small city in the central part of Angola. Once considered a thriving city is now evidence of a once long fought war. Walls riddled with bullets and abandoned buildings are just some of the sights you might come accross.

Yet Huambo has come a long way since 2003, with development and infrastructure just around the corner.

I have been here for about 2 weeks now and the only thing I can complain about is slow internet. Other than that I love it here... the people are friendly, the streets relatively safe and no traffic Jams.

Although it has been raining quite frequently, this has kept the weather cool.

Huambo in short is a story of a city rebuilding itself and the lives of her people.

Hello Randy, welcome !
I myself have to admit I don't know Huambo at all and it's my mother's homeland. Some day, who knows ? :-)
What are you doing in Huambo ?
