Insurance coverage in Angola

Hello everyone,

Moving abroad requires adequate insurance coverage.

What type of insurance expatriates need the most in Angola: health, house or liability insurance? All of them? Do they come as a package?

Are there other insurance options to consider like critical illness, damage or property insurance?

Is it better to purchase insurance from an expat insurance specialist or from a local insurance provider?

And what about insurance costs?

Tell us about your experience in Angola.

Thanks!

Kenjee

Hi Kenjee,

I realize that some time has passed since you posted this, yet it's good to have a response here.

It's key to buy both life insurance and health insurance plan from a firm outside of Angola that represents global carriers and the annual costs can vary significantly depending on the desired coverage, the age and health of the individual, and a few other factors.

Going through a broker/advisor like myself you have someone to fight your battles on your behalf when you need assistance rather than you dealing with the call centre.

Additionally, it is possible to develop a group plan that would reduce your organization/company costs at times for your coverage.

Do reach out if you need tips and advise.

Thanks!
Andrew
