Hello everyone,
In few months I will go to Malaysia to work (my company in France send me there).
I have made a local contract of 3 years and I just get the EP approuved. The problem is that the government gave me a 12 months EP category 1 EP whereas I have a 3 years contract.
Is it usual ? Could it be a mistake ? Is there a limited number of renewals ?

Yes it is usual and normal. The first EP is for one year. Unless rules are changed the maximum renewal is up to a total of 10 years for Category 1 EP
