Cost of living in singapore

Hi all,
We r a family of three husband wife and a 6yo kid kindly suggest is 7000 SGD sufficient to sustain life in Singapore considering house rent( in proximity to harbour front) child education and other expenses on groceries we r vegetarian and right now I m coming on dependent pass , I have a rich teaching experience of working in reputed schools in India as a maths teacher , can I also find a job for myself ...thanks in advance for ur inputs really perplexed ...any suggestions will be of G8 help

Below two threads will give an overall idea about average expenses in Singapore, you may refer below links as ref (in Singapore, nothing much has changed in a year, as your kid will be in K2, so you may look into near by pre-schools where fees vary from $500 to $900 but next year when he will join P1 then he may not get local school due to policies are in place, so fees of an International school may vary between $1200 to $2000 per month).

I had asked about dependent prospects for getting a job and does teaching as a domain has some scope...thanks in advance

You have a chance to work as a teacher if your degree and experience is recognised by the Ministry of Education (MoE). So contact them to find out!
