Hi... I just moved to Isfahan from Los Angeles. i was able to come easily as my father is Iranian so i have a passport however my wife is American and isn't having the easiest time. We assumed she'd be able to get a visa quickly however its a big stupid process that i'm not really wanting to do so we're trying to get her a passport and ID card via our marriage. Has anyone gone through the process? I know the basics but is there a time frame? thats the big question i haven't been able to get answered. Also the first step would be to register our marriage so she'd get her ID card however my passport is expired i'm not sure if thats going to be a problem?

Hello,
if you are already married abroad the marriage registration should be easier. I know that registering marriage in a foreign embassy is much faster than in Iran. There is not timeframe and the process is very fast, can be done in a couple of hours.
