Living in Beirut

Dear all,

I arrived in Beirut yesterday. I will probably live here for 1 year. I am looking for a small FURNISHED apartment (one or 2 bedrooms). it doesn't have to be in the very centre, but not too far from it. any suggestion? is there also the possibility to share flats? prices?

How would you describe life in Beirut?

Very simple and outgoing. people are warm and friendly. Too much things to do! YOu will never be bored, especially if you live in beirut.

Has it been complicated to settle down, to find a job, and an accomodation? 
No, its not very hard to find accomodation, since there are new apartments and rooms on the newspaper everyday!

Is it complicated to make friends in Beirut?
Never! You can make friends as soon as you arrive at the nearest pub or club.

What would you recommend to people who would like to live in Beirut?

Do not talk politics or religion.
Be sure you don't trust anybody easily because usually foreigners are taken advantage of (especially by taxi drivers).
Have fun in one of the greatest sities in the world!!
