Be very very careful. It is the wild wild west!
Thanks for the advice planner, but I need some diversification of finance and have established that most DR banks have a very conservative approach to investments unlike American and European counterparts which have already been bailed out by our governments at our expense. But when a major DR bank went down this was dealt with very differently with no long term loss to investors. I understand that government bonds are available, insurance backed with a good healthy return. I was looking for further information on these and commercial paper in Euros or Dollars for larger Companies with trade abroad. Although these can be regarded as high risk, often are for short term use and can give good repeat returns with the right Company. Obviously these both need due diligence, this is my starting point

Bailed out with no loss??? Who said that? Ask those who lost a lot.
Govt bonds that are insurance backed - by what insurance company?
Commercial paper herw is high risk - all of it.
Thanks Planner, this is why I am posting. Getting a feel for things
Awesome
