I arrived Jakarta only last Monday and will be here for at least year... wonder if I can find some Nepalese friends here.

The OP hasn't been on the site for some while but I can offer some suggestions.

Don't delay - Tomorrow morning go directly to your embassy and request a new passport or emergency travel documents.

If you have overstayed your visa, contact the nearest immigration office the moment you get your travel documents. Surrendering is going to be a far lesser problem than being arrested.
If you have not overstayed, contact immigration anyway and inform them of the change of documents.
Take advice from your embassy about the above as they may be able to assist.
