Expat blog HCM charity event in Krong Pa - Gia Lai on 25-27 Dec 2015

Hello everyone...We have set the dates to meet anyone who wish to know more about the charity event and collect donations of cash and books for children (English n Vietnamese ).
We need all the help you can provide. Even just to spread info about this event to others.
Details as below:
Gathering date for Gia lai collection date and time.
Venue : Highland cafe, 181 Ham Nghi, , District 1   (opposite Ben Thanh market)
14/11 Saturday 7.30-9pm
17/11 Tuesday  7.30-9pm
22/11  Sunday   3.00-5pm
26/11 Thursday 7.30-9pm
29/11 Sunday  7.30-9pm
We will collect donations at the above date and time.

EXPATS and FRIENDS' CHARITY EVENT

This will be a once in a life time experience to the province where we will experience the life and culture of the minority people.

Venue: Krong Pa district, Gia Lai province (where minority people are living)

Date and time: in 25 /12 night -27/12 night

Mission:
- provide baby cows to families (8-10mil/ cow)
- provide reference books, entertainment books to 4 schools of minority students
- provide other house supplies like TV, fans if budget allows

Should you would like to donate, please contact us.

Transportation: flights 1 hour (estimated up to 1.5 mil vnd), or bus 12 hours (estimated up to 500k vnd)

Accommodation: hotel in Pleiku city and guest house in Krong Pa district

Activities:
- provide school supplies, bikes
- provide necessary facilities for some very poor families,  students
- games/ parties with the children
- chance to visit natural waterfall, lake, mountain
- interactive activities with minorities people, enjoy special local food/coffee

Estimated cost (on actual and individual basis): 3 mil vnd (by flights), or 1.5 mil vnd (by bus)

Hello everyone,
Happy new year. I'm pleased to report that our charity event went on without any unfortunate incident. We do face many challenges from collection of donations ,transportation and authorities. This however, has made us understand the situation better and learn more.However ,our main objectives of helping the families ,school children and extra visit to a disabled  children centre were accomplished. . We will post the photos soon and a more detail report will be out soon. Thank you for everyone who supported this event and we hope this new year will have a more meaningful year.
