Hallo! My name is Roberta and I am from Bulgaria. I'm planning to leave my country, because of the tragic situation here. I am really interested in Kristiansand, because I've got a Bulgarian friends there and I hope that they will help me in the beginning. I am interested if it is difficult to find a job, I am 23 years old and the level of my English is very good. I am interested in your opinion ...! Thanks a lot

Hello,

The employment situation is actually beginning to deteriorate here. I read that it's taking longer for people to find jobs, and that it is particularly hard for people who do not speak Norwegian. For the vast majority of jobs, the ability to speak Norwegian is essential. It's also very hard to live without an income, because it is very expensive. I know I sound quite negative, but I know some people come here naively and then end up spending all of their money and being forced to go home. It's important to have a plan and to be realistic about what it's possible to achieve.
