I am keen to find a nice restaurant in District 1, HCMC where we can have a private dinner for up to 30 people - australian and vietnamese medical/nursing staff. Any ideas? Visiting in Feb 2014.
More detail - looking for Vietnamese cuisine and a place where we would be able to talk easily without too much noise around. Cost is not a problem - keen for district 1 as our colleagues in HCMC work at Nhi Dong2

You can check out Ocean Palace Restaurant for Chinese food. They have private banquet room for different sizes. Or any hotel in HCMC, they all have private banquet rooms available. Just for full disclosure, Cuc Gach serves home food in chipped dining ware.
You should give more specific criteria if you want good recommendations. Cuisine and budget are two big ones.
