hi, this is not a nice topic, I know
I recently read a blog of an american in madrid (an english teacher) who tells some happenings about attaks of skinheads in madrid and barcelona on immigrants
she said that some attacks were caught on camera on the subway and shown on tv, but the spanish media doesn't really talks about racism
this really freaks me out
what do you think?

ps: as a tourist I had no problem, I've been to barcelona several times

There is going to be a dork in any crowd. There was an incident a year or two ago in BCN that was caught on camera, he was convicted this year. People were disgusted. Look at Spain's social policies, I think you will find them not that bad. Racism exists everywhere, and there are going to be horrid folks everywhere. I don't think it is a major problem and some countries in the N of Europe have much greater problems with skinheads and racial violence than you see in Spain.
