Is PhD right after Pharm-D possible in Portugal?

duaatehami05

Hello everyone!

I've completed my Doctor Of Pharmacy from Pakistan and moved to Portugal. I'd like to ask about continuing my studies here. Does anybody know if a pharmacist can apply for PhD right after professional degree here in Portugal i.e. skipping Masters and going for PhD. Kindly let me know if you know anything about it, please.

ThankYou!

This question should be asked at one of the Faculties of Pharmacy, not here. I can tell you that there are a limited number of PhD admissions studies for international students, I think only 5 per year at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon, and that the Master's degree is not compulsory. One thing's for sure, the academic programme for a Pharm-D in Pakistan may not have the same curricular equivalences as a Pharm-D in Portugal... be aware of that.

first of all you will need to apply for the recognition of your degree in Portugal. https://www.dges.gov.pt/en/pagina/degre … ecognition
