I guess we have all been WATCHING THE DETECTIVES (Elvis Costello).

    @Cherryann01 and Coach53 checked RA7610 and here is the statute:
"(b) Any person who shall keep or have in his company a minor, twelve (12) years or under or who in ten (10) years or more his junior in any public or private place, hotel, motel, beer joint, discotheque, cabaret, pension house, sauna or massage parlor, beach and/or other tourist resort or similar places shall suffer the penalty of prision mayor in its maximum period and a fine of not less than Fifty thousand pesos (P50,000): Provided, That this provision shall not apply to any person who is related within the fourth degree of consanguinity or affinity or any bond recognized by law, local custom and tradition or acts in the performance of a social, moral or legal duty."

    -@danfinn

But why posting it to me, who knew it allready??  It was I, who brought up that law in this topic   :)

    -@Lotus Eater

Undepending of if he is or not, he cant be as full of BS as you...   :D

    @Cherryann01
You would make an excellent PI Cherryann. Are you up for hire appropos an assignment on the island of Palawan? Concerning a Swedish businessman I would like checked out.
    -@Lotus Eater

You dont seem to get it still. Its GOOD for foreigners to NOT be seen and by I am clever  :D I have managed to do that legal.

Its possible to find me, but it would need very much work, because I have succeeded avoid almost everyone concerning the businesses. Dont know how many my business partner have told about me, but I guess max 10 know.  I guess even less know my name, some know "a foreigner" is involved but not who.

Sure no officials know. They will never know, except if they will check during several years all businesses with connections to abroad. I dont tell how I have made that legal. Took me years of Philippine law studies to figuere out how.

As business consultant I CHARGE for special business solutions... But I dont want you as client even for a billion for an hour work, so no point you ask how 1f923.svg

The only reason I posted it to you was because you had first brought it up and it was confirmation of what you said. I looked it up because I was trying to compare Phils vs US because I was asked if the US has the same law, answer NO. I did not mean to infer that you were in favor of breaking that law and I would never accuse anyone here of that.

@coach53

What we are discussing here is relationship between an adult and a minor (under 18 years old) and not pedophilia.

"Pedophilia is an ongoing sexual attraction to pre-pubertal children. It is a paraphilia, a condition in which a person's sexual arousal and gratification depends on objects, activities, or even situations that are considered atypical. Pedophilia is defined as recurrent and intense sexually arousing fantasies, sexual urges, or behaviors involving sexual activity with a prepubescent child or children—generally age 13 years or younger—over a period of at least six months. Pedophiles are more often men and can be attracted to either or both sexes."

The word "pedophile" is often used wrongly in the Philippines to include anyone of legal age who is found to be in a relationship with a minor person (usually a female) IF HE IS A FOREIGNER!

I have never seen "pedophile" being used for Filipino citizens in spite of the fact that relationships between a Filipino man of legal age and a minor Filipino woman is very common and exceeds those involving foreigners with a very high percentage (99%?). Neither have I seen much about such cases in media involving only Filipino citizens except in heinous crimes like murder, kidnapping, etc.

DSWD here in Cebu City has cases daily with minor ladies from as low as 13 up to 17 giving birth to babies where the father has either "fled the scene", denied the fatherhood or in some instances been forced to marry the lady through a "shotgun" wedding. However, in most of these cases the father is also a minor and can't prosecuted.

My oldest daughter got pregnant as a minor (at 17)  by her Filipino boyfriend who was 19 at the time  and left her soon thereafter. My wife and I never saw any reason to make an issue out this and eventually everything worked out fine and we are very fond of our granddaughter who will be 17 next April.

I also personally know a 22 years old Filipino woman who was sexually abused by her own cousin from she was 7 until the age of 14. This was clearly a case of pedophilia. However, no charges was ever brought upon the culprit because he was "part of the family"! She doing fine today and has recovered from the abuse.

Yes thats true but we must still carry on. Anyway, to answer the OP's question, you wouldn't be on the blacklist unless either a court or someone with extraordinary power like a Congressman or Senator puts you on there. Since the case was dismissed then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. If you do re-enter just don't go back to the same place that the incident happened.

Yes.

I dont know where he had seen it, but an expat told according to an anonomous research - so the wictims dared to tell -

28 % of MALES told they had been sexualy abused as children.

I suppouse much higher for females.

Expat, who has moved away to his home country, told his father-in-law had sex with "everyone" daughters-in-law, own daughters (and dont remember if granddaughters too)...
