Hello Sodhi,

Welcome to expat.com!

It is important to note that it is difficult to find a job in Italy or Europe as a non-EU citizen unless you are highly qualified.

Employers will look for locals or EU citizens to fill any vacant post that they may have.

If you need more information, you can read the Living in Italy guide for expats.

All the best,

Hello Dean58 ,

Welcome on board !

Please read the articles under the Accommodation in Italy section of the Expat Guide to find detailed infos about accommodation.

Where will you be located, please ?

@Dean58 Hi,

A friend recently looked for long lets in Castiglione de Lago but wasn't too successful as most people renting out make more by renting to holiday makers so the few available were very expensive.

Please be aware that you need a proper contract and the utilities in your name, some not so scrupulous individuals will try to fob you off as they are renting  ''under the wire'' to avoid paying tax and both of you would get in to serious trouble and if the services are not in your name how do you know the owner is charging you a fair and correct price?

Do you have a location in mind, if so contact an agency and look at immobilare.it to et an idea of  costs in the area of your choice.

Which bit of Wales do you live in we moved here from near Tenby :)

Good luck

Good day ma'am am mustapha my name and from Nigeria and searching  for job in italy so how can you help for it thanks

@Julien hello! I hope I'm doing this right now. I'm not sure how to post on the new thread other than to hit the reply. If I'm doing it wrong, please advise me. My wife and I, an LGBTQ couple, are thinking of living in Italy, moving within the next two years when our last kids move out. We like to live in the country, but in a short distance to cities, and so are thinking of the Piedmont area. It's important to us to find an Expat community wherever we go since we will be new Italian speakers. I am very extroverted and , want to make sure I can find friends and a community. Maybe somebody could advise me if we are well or L advised to be considering Piedmont outside of cities. Thank you for having this forum available. A little about us… My wife is a physician relations specialist for a medical device company that will be seeking new employment. I am a mental health therapist. Member of the OneWorld alliance. We welcome your friendship and ideas!

Hi there. I am an English expat living in the Northeast Corner of Umbria. I have has a house here for nearly 20 years but have only lived here for  two years full time. Sadly I have recently become disabled, and will have to sell my car, brand new electric bike, and give away a lot of stuff. It's a big house but rather run down and too many stairs. My aim is to sell it and buy an apartment in the centre of town. I do love Umbria, especially now Spring is here !

@Yoginee  yes I want but how to efly
