Philippine Estate Laws

@Enzyte Bob

For some unexplained reason Coach has always displayed a persecution complex on this Forum. Perhaps (and this is pure conjecture on my part) he suffered a severe trauma as a child growing up as he did in a rough part of Stockholm.

This trauma manifests itself in his occasional hysterical outbursts, not to mention the gobbledygook laced with copious emoticons, over other members comments.

How do you manage to make it become hysterical when I am not even angry?! I am just some annoyed, and answer back to you and Enzyte, who are BS false insinuations specialists...  big_smile.png
CherryAnn has written lies about me a lot of times...

And then an admin protected you three...
-@coach53

I have never written lies about you and I tried so so hard to let old grudges lie but you just cannot keep that drivel from rolling off your grubby fingers and into print, can you. So show me these lies you say I have told about you or just let it drop.

Have I once said anything about you or commented on your replies to posts since you came back - No.

Hello to all,

Thank you for your messages.

Despite the interventions of my colleagues, there are still off-topic issues concerning the real subject that is being discussed.

I'm not saying that it's not forbidden to make some jokes (and some here made me laugh) but by dint of repeating that we have to come back to the basic subject and that there are still some flights of fancy, unfortunately it's becoming a bit "heavy".

So let's get back to the subject and discuss it calmly (don't forget that there is the Expat Café forum)

Have a nice day,

Admin, you should just close this thread by now. It's clear keeping this thread on course as per the original poster's topic is an impossible task, with no thanks to a certain someone who seems to have a stick up his ass to facilitate the need to argue with just anyone who doesn't agree with him.

its toxic,   getting very tiresome, and we should strive to make this a better place where such combative views don't drag everyone else down to that level.

I would have to disagree about closing the thread. I think some of the more informative posts, especially those sharing personal experience, might benefit expats. As for disruptive posts or poster, the best way to remove his / her post is to report it and state the reason.

Let's picture the forum as a basketball team. Once in a while, you'll have a player who's toxic and often disrupts a game's momentum. Unfortunately, with regards to removing that player from the court, sometimes, the coaches' hands are tied because they might be accused of being unfair. But if the players say something about it, especially if a lot of them complain, the coaches can reduce his playtime, without necessarily removing him / her from the team.

So, if you're a player (forum member) currently in the game (this thread) and if you don't like the way a player is behaving, complain anonymously (report the post) to reduce his / her play time and help the coaches (moderators). Even if you're a reserve player currently on the bench, watching on the sideline (members not part of the thread), report the disruptive post.

I agree with FAM, a great topic as long as members of the basketball team play the game correctly. If you have a whinge? Start a new thread. Create an interesting topic relative to PH.

OMO.

Cheers, Steve.

@FilAmericanMom

yes,  how effective is reporting a user? they basically just get a slap on the wrist,  claim they wont ever do it again, or that they will play more nicely with others which lasts for about a week, and then shortly there after resume their same combative behavior.

behavior of one user which has been evident as to be ongoing should lead to outright banning of being on the forum. i dont see this happening as often as it should.

@kristopherryanwatson

I don't know how effective reporting is. But I do know that after I reported the disruptive posts, they were quickly placed "under review." I don't know how for long a member can be temporarily banned from the forum if we click "Temporarily ban this user." It would be best to just privately ask about this from a moderator.

In basketball, one of the most frustrating thing for a player is reduction in play time and suspensions because they make a player less relevant and could make them fade into obscurity. They could also drive a player, especially a narcissistic attention-seeking one, to leave the team voluntarily.

Just wait and see what happens. Maybe he will get kicked out of the team by the team owner.

All the rhetoric aside and only my opinion and back on topic, "Philippines estate laws".

When it comes to money and hereditary obligations and wishes? Why on an expat site with a hundred different opinions, go speak to your mouth piece and get the relative and correct answers, that's why they spent 7 years to learn the craft, ask 50 expats and you will get 50 different answers. OMO but best thing is to keep your assets in your own coutry.

As for the closing of the thread? I say no as it's very pertinent to those that chose this country to live.  The enquiring mind.

The doom sayers are all around and simply submit their opinion as we all do. Perhaps some should grab their goolies and create a new thread instead of railroading many topics here.

Estates and law is relevant to all, retired or not. I sorted my sh@t out before I retired here.

Cheers, Steve.

Yeah but what if its the 'Coach' at fault and not the players. What happens then? 1f923.svg

@FilAmericanMom I don't follow NBA anymore due to the "woke" disease besetting them but I do think "reporting" posts is a temptation that attracts only the most authoritarian members of the group and should be avoided to the greatest extent possible. For normal members who see no need to exert such control, just knowing that such petty tyrants exist here is chilling to free speech. Going the further step of requesting members to be kicked off is having really far out control issues. Let's just have a normal forum; if anybody is out of line the moderators will eventually see him/her without some karen needing to report them like school children.

Crap aside? Philippines estate law. Whinners should create a new thread for their bleat.

Cheers, Steve.

@Lotus Eater

Saw what you did there.

We are talking about the same person.  it's rather obvious.  1f606.svg

The food fight is about to begin, let no person who has never eaten Balut toss the first Egg.

Ah,  Balut!   The one Filipino delicacy i have sworn to never try.

I cannot stomach the thought of ever trying it.

@Enzyte Bob I would propose a rule that those who have never eaten balut should not have standing to report on comments of those who have eaten balut or request their termination 😂

And...having eaten Bulut...or not...what does that have to do with PH estate laws?  Should those who have never eaten balut be banned from leasing land or buying a condo? Lol.....JMO!

@kristopherryanwatson free speech is about the only thing we have left. Please don't ruin it as well!!!
