Moving to South America

Hi,

I am currently in my final year of my undergraduate degree in Politics and have been accepted to study European Studies at MA level (I intend to specialize in Energy and Trade) - I have very good grades, good internships and speak English, German fluently and spanish moderately. Having fallen in love with Peru on holiday, realizing the problems in Europe and the opportunities in South America I am considering moving away from europe. Latin America in particular Chile, Argentina and possibly Mexico seem enticing to start a new life (although I am open to suggestions).

I have a lot of questions I need to answer and was wondering if this forum could help me answer some of these.

How easy is it to get a job? (I would be interested in Energy, Export, Trade, public policy, Marketing or PR etc.) How easy is it to get a long-term Visa? Is Latin America like UK in that you can study anything and go into business or do you have to study business to go into business? Does my experience in Europe and my language abilities help me stand out from the crowd? Does having experience of the largest market of the world help me?

Although I have a lot of international experience - I have lived in 3 countries, been to most countries in Europe, traveled to South East Asia and Peru and have friends from every corner of the earth - I would also be interested in cultural barriers to working and moving to south America as this is a big undertaking and a hell of a lot different to traveling.
