I have already my new job here in Abu Dhabi as Engineer in a big company (oil & gas) & of course with higher salary.
I was very lucky during that time. After Dubai Governement has cancelled my visa due to hepa b, after 1 month , the new law regarding hepa b was implemented & as a result, i passed the medical exam without any hesitation in my mind. Thanks to GOD.
They did not really checked the hepa b (only blood test for HIV & Lung X-ray ).

We all have slight fear till we get our results even though we knew the RULE is already implemented.
Lets Pray everyone come out of this fear soon.
dingdong wrote:Dear All, I have collected my test result today and thanks to God, i have passed the test. Thanks to ALL those who have remembered me in their prayers. I have enquired the situation with the clerk there who has confirmed that the HBV check is mandatory for only food handlers.

To Kiyaara,
In my case, it was a new visa since I joined to another company.
My previous company (Govt.) did not renew and cancelled my visa due to hepa b, and instead of exiting,(in fact, I was overstayed in UAE for 1 month & my new company payed for it including the non-exit fee), I applied to a private company as per MOH's advise as the new law for medical test has been implemented in the private sector.

Lucky you, anyway the visa that i was applying then last year was new visa and i am hoping with the clarification of the ban .I will get a new employer mean s new visa. Will they still check hepa if my job is not on the 6 categories?

So were you not banned for Hep B? or was it lifted? I was under the impression there was an automatic ban for those with Hep B and tho at first i was under the impression it was only a one yr ban i see here a lot of ppl talking about blacklist and life ban... Can you clarify??? Were all bans automatically lifted with the change of the law or is there a certain procedure one needs to follow?
Also PLZ if someone can tell me when u get a ban IS THERE A STAMP ON YOUR PASSOPORT THAT SAYS BAN??? Mine only says canceled.
My new company had begun the procedure of getting me a new visa but when i got the hep B results i left the country on that same day. The PRO came to the airport with me and cancelled the visa there. Do the med reports go automatically to the UAE goverment or does the company have to submit them?
I just can't figure out if it's ok for me to visit Dubai and i need to be there nxt week

PLZ HELP!

Hi Faidra,
Thre's no "BANNED" stamped on my passport/visa, Only " CANCELED" was there. Besides, I asked personally the immigration people if I am banned due to hepa b & they said "NO" and you can still apply to private companies or in other emirates.

Hi gerryanded,
I am sure they are not checking hepa b if your job is not included in the 6 categories.
As per my experience & according to my friend who is nurse, it needs 100cc of blood sample to ckeck hepa b, but during my latest medical test last November 2010 where i was granted my new residence visa, they took only few drops of blood sample & I am very sure that it was only for HIV testing.

I know i am being annoying but do ppl that have bans get a BANNED stamp on their passport as they exit or is it just in the government records? As you can tell i have no clue how this whole thing works and that is why i worry so much about it.
Again thank you for your help!

let me know your doubt. I have collected my result. There is no much that i can share. They have collected the sample and i went to collect the result. in between there is no much activity took place really. i haven't involve any one in the process. Its just God's grace. I am sure for all the renewal there is no problem.
however, let me know your doubt.
I am the hepatitis b virus, I intend to go to dubai do computer engineers work. Don't know check-up could qualified, will be back.
If I go to dubai whether need check-up hepatitis b?
i want to ask about residence visa in abudhabi. Last year my husband already make residence visa for me and when i do medical check they found that i am positive hepatite B and i cant live with my husband in abudhabi and i back to my country. When I arrive in my country i make medical check for hepa B again and yes I am positive but the virus not active ( HbsAg positif, HbeAg negative, and HBV DNA non reactive ). Then i get treatment from the doctor by keep take medicine for 6 month and keep under control by the doctor. After 6 month i make medical check again and the result I am ok now and all result lab are negative.
My question : Can i get residence visa again because i hear that the regulation in abudhabi, once someone have that desease they will not be approved again. But if someone already live in abudhabi before they will approved it even they have the virus. Plz i really need clear and accurate information for these because till now i still can not live together with my husband. Thanks for anyone who can help me on this i really need the explanation as soon as possible.
Midge wrote:I came to Dubai last three years ago. I do not have any problem with my medical until recently when I need to renew my visa since I joined another company.
I was very surprised when I knew I had to undergo blood extraction again. I asked the nurse what could be the reason that I need to do it twice. He said to double check since they found something on the results. I was really afraid as Hepa B is a deportable disease.
The doctor confirmed that I have Hepa B. But he marked medically fit on my clearance. He advised me to go to a specialist and seek for advise.
Maybe it's case to case basis. If your work is related to Food, hospital or children then they can be really strict.
The doctor told me that If I am on a visit visa then he might have send me back to my country. But I am already in Dubai for more than 3 years and just renewing my visa.
I seek for medical advise from gastroentorologist. I undergo certain test like sonography, CBC, AlkP,ALT,AST and Alpha Feto Protein and it's all normal. HBsAG is reactive because I have the virus but HBeAg is Negative. HBeAg is often used as a marker of ability to spread the virus to other people (infectivity). Therefore I am a healthy carrier. There are no medications and as per the doctor there's no limit on what should I eat. I should continue to have a normal life. The chances of passing it to other people is very very low. I can even make love with my husband without any protection and still not passing the virus to him or to my baby in case I am having. But to be on the safest side, my husband went for Hepa B vaccination already.
I need to go back and undergo testing again after 6 months to check if there is any changes.
Now, I have my visa stamped on my passport. After 3 years, I will undergo medical fitness test again. I hope by that time, the virus is totally gone on my system. I think that's possible.
hi Midge
I am Namira and i think i have same problem with you. this is my story. Last year my husband already make residence visa for me and when i do medical check they found that i am positive hepatite B and i cant live with my husband in abudhabi and i back to my country. When I arrive in my country i make medical check for hepa B again and yes I am positive but the virus not active ( HbsAg reactive, Anti HBs non reactive, HbeAg negative and HBV-DNA negative ). Then i get treatment from the doctor by keep take medicine for 6 month and keep under control by the doctor. After 6 month i make medical check again and the result I am ok now and all are negative.
My question : Can i get residence visa again because i hear that the regulation in abudhabi, once someone have that desease they will not be approved again. after the new law was implemented you are surely can come back to abudhbai. pls read the previous post.
I want to ask where did you go for the treatment and what medication did you take that counts you all negative? and how much the expenses.

hi Kamil
which post you mean? Can you tell me and show me? And what are the new law? Plz tell me..
My husband already go to Health Authorities in abudhabi and they said I cant come because once i have that desease they will not approve again. But if i already live there before and then i have that virus they will keep approve it.
I dont know and cant count how much money that i already spend for my medicine. And yes it is expensive.
I also surprise when i know that my result after i take medicine for 6 month was negative but that's reality now that i have. My HBsAg non reactive, HBeAg non reactive and HBV-DNA negative.
dingdong wrote:Hi Little and Namira, there are a no. of versions of discussions. Someone says that they check the HBV only for the 6 categories and someone is saying that they check for all and found, will be deported. the health authorities web site indicates that they do not check. Still someone is saying that the rule has not come into force. There is no one on the blog who has shared the information that new visa case deported recently and hence difficult to conclude. When i spoke to the people in the hospital, the said that they will not check. but still not sure whether it is applicable to the new cases or not. I am a passive carrier but still got fitness certificate last week. let us wait to see if someone would share their experience.
hi dingdong
still i have question and need explanation about can i get residence visa again now? coz my visa already canceled before coz they found i have hepa B.
But now my HBsAg non reactive, HBeAg non reactive and HBV-DNA negative.
thank you . let us wait to see if we come across new members to share their experience.
Remember me in ur prayers
Thanks & regards
hopefully we will hear a good news. My prayers are with you. I would recommend you going to the Baraha hospital and go to the room no. 3 where the duty doctors are available and they can guide you. Please make sure that you clearly specify that you either belong to the 6 categories or not.
Good luck and all the best.
Hope this clarifies your doubt.

Btw did you have hepa B before you came to Dubai or after you already in Dubai ? They told that they cant be approve my visa again because i was new in UAE and i have hepa B before because once i have it they will not be approve it again. Is it true?
But if i have live there before and i have that disease they will keep approve it. Is it true ?
