General inquiry !

elianafaith7

Hi! I'm looking to relocate from NY to Belfast in August. I have visited three times, and my father is from there, which means I already have my passports, so there's no worry about visas. I've researched as much as I possibly can on basically every topic related to this (documentation, registering with GP, job market, housing market, transportation, etc.). However, there's some things that I can only really know either directly from others living there or once I'm there. SO, I was hoping I could receive feedback regarding my odds of finding a job — more specifically, how long that may take, as well as how the cost-of-living actually looks (again, I'm from NY, so I don't suspect it will scare me, but I do want to be prepared).

Here's relevant info about me to help feedback!

I have four years of administrative experience, three with a human services/mental health nonprofit and one with a nonprofit child welfare agency. Additionally, I worked a year as a Direct Support Professional. I just graduated with my Bachelors in Psychology with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Development. I will aim for an admin job, however, as it's my understanding this will be my best immediate bet. My budgeting goal for housing is 500 pounds (with or without bills included) in a houseshare, but I will enter with a temporary residence while I search for a job and housing. I will rely on public transportation, and still have some US bills that must be paid monthly.

I am entering this pretty naive, I'm sure, so I will accept any and all feedback, whether it directly relates to the prompt or not! Thank you!!
