welcome to the forum.
We have a small group of forum members and others meeting about once a week or more. We usually meet in the Sliema/St.Julians area.
At the moment we have a beach picnic on the Sliema seafront once a week. Next week on Thursday the 18 th August. We have a mailing list for the details so just send me your e-mail and I will add you to the list.
Cheers

Welcome on board Raphaele!
welcome to the forum.
It is Autumn and we have stopped having our picnics on the beach for the moment.
But there will be other meetings soon.
Please send me your e-mail so that I can add you to our mailing list.
Cheers

thank ypu, waiting to know about ou, today I was walking along the promenade and I do understand why you don´t do picnic anymoer in autumn, crazy wind!!!!
I've added you to the list. Sending it through a PM would have been safer though. It is not a good idea to publish your e-mail in public areas of the internet.
Cheers

I would be pleased to meet finally some people :-)
I moved to Malta from Oz three years ago.

i'm new too in Malta. I would be delighted to meet new people. Could you add me to the mailing list?
Thanks
I am looking to move to Malta soon and wanted to be proactive about meeting people. I am Australian and I moved to the UK in 2010. When I moved to the UK I relied on work to help me make friends. When I move to Malta I will not need to look for work as I am self employed so I need to find other ways to make friends.
I was wondering if I could come along to your meet ups when I arrive (wnancyl@hotmail.com) and whether anyone is interested in striking up a conversation via email? Be nice to get as much tips as possible. My first move was hard and I want to make this transition more enjoyable, and less terrifying!
Thanks in advance,
Nancy
My name is Summer and I currently live in the UK but am moving to Malta on the 24th of March. I am married and have an 11 month old son. I lived in Sydney for approximately 6 years during my childhood so I too am used to moving around. I would easily strike up a conversation by email, as I too am wanting to be proactive in meeting people. Message me if you want.
Btw what kind of work are you doing?
Liam
welcome to the forum and Happy New Year.
We have a very successful Expat group here in Sliema. But the South is just too far away to join in on a regular basis.
I would suggest you use the expat-blog to start your own expat group in the south of Malta.
I know there are many Expats in the south and I'm sure you would get a nice group together.
Let me know if you need help.
Cheers
Ricky
I will move to Malta next month and i hope to add my name to the list for future trips

How to makes firends in malta is a very old topic.
I find this topic today and would like to write something.
In few weeks I work and live in Malta without my friends and my family. And therefore I am a bit afraid of loneliness in Malta.
So I hope if you're reading this and you also feel lonely have the courage to write to me. I would be very happy.
Maybe we can do something together against the loneliness and mutually reinforcing.
I would be delighted.

My name is Nadine and I'm 27 yrs old. I moved from Germany to birzebbuga 7 months ago.
Love living here but it's not so easy to meet new people.
So if anybody is out there who'd like to go for a coffee or beer
it would be nice to hear from youWish you all a nice sunny day
welcome to the forum.
We have a great Expat group here in the Sliema area and meet on a regular basis at least once a week at Bianco's restaurant on Spinola Bay. Check out the thread 'meeting up'.
It is a bit far from Birzebugga though! Maybe you will get some response from the 'South'.
Feel free to join in anytime! We start at 7 so with the new 'fantastic' Arriva buses ( they are not that bad -))) you should be able to take part and get back on the same day !
Cheers

I'm looking for friends in Malta, with whom to go for a coffe, lunch, dinner, shopping.
Sliema
On Thursday evening (after work, so it will probably be at around 6pm/6:15pm) I will be meeting a couple of foreign friends for a coffee. If you or anyone else would like to join us please let me know. We will probably go to Valletta.
Regards,
Charlo
I would like to organize a expat meeting! Would you like to go for a classical concert? there are so many!
A couple of weeks ago I organised a Maltese Night in a Maltese traditional restaurant in Mġarr. We were a group of 21 people hailing from 14 different countries. Pity no one from the expat-blog community joined in. It was a blast!

If you are into concerts, usually there is one in Valletta by the the Malta Police Force band on Christmas Eve. I intend to go. Feel free to join me. Afterwards we can go for a coffee. Are you in?
Regards,
Charlo
