does anybody know a good company for renting motorbikes ? maybe if they have some website, to book in advanced.

Only if you have a death wish would be my opinion. I have a full motorbike licence (years in the uk) here I might just as well walk in front of a bus. Locals are more used to it here, but plenty of accidents even then.

It's only for 1 or 2 days.
And actually is not for me, a friend will visit Malta and he asked me to search for him.

you can hire bikes off most of the tourist hire companies that are situated in sliema, st julians ,  bugibba etc
however as you have been already made aware - it is probably extremely wise not too

he will stay in Sliema area, so yes..maybe  will check directly with rental companies form that area.
