looking for a good (!) garage for rust removal +paintjob in the north

Hello!
Can anyone recommend a good garage to take care of rust removal on an old (classic) car that also can do a new paint job in the north - if possible close to Mellieha. Unfortunately most garages just do botched work..

Not sure why you think that most garages do botched work. In my experience with work done in Malta you get what you pay for ( I have built /rebuilt a few classic cars but not in Malta).
The body shop next to the VRT station (not sure of the name) carries out work on classic cars regularly.
I have seen him carry out bodywork on E types , Triumphs and MG's, all the ones I have seen seem to be finished to a high standard.

Best if you visit a garage and ask to see some examples of the restoration work, if they have nothing to hide they should be able to give you references to check out.

thanks for the tip Terry, but which one do you mean? the one on the main street close to Selmun palace or the one on the bypass close to the fitness studio and football field?

there is one round the corner from Billys i can highly recommend.... next to the VRT centre... cant remember his name though as its been a while....

There is only one VRT station in Mellieha and its just around the corner from Billy's
. Same one Toon is talking about and its called Jeffrey's Garage. 21525711
