carpets or rugs ? Carpets are quite unusual in Malta, and I'd want to be very sure how watertight your place is before putting in carpets !

Rugs - a good selection at Asciak in Mriehel next to the rear of Homemate are very good.

ditto on what GnG has said....we only have one carpet in the house but lots of rugs for winter - but we put them away for summer....

Yep that's the other thing. You won't want carpets in summer

Its not about size (although a carpet is usually bigger than a rug)

A carpet is fitted (not easy to take up) - normally covers the whole floor

A rug can be rolled up every quickly, and covers part of the floor
