SPCA Charity Shop volunteers

rooikat

I hope that it is OK to post this on the blog:D
I have just received an email from a fellow South African in Malta saying that the above mentioned charity shop urgently needs more volunteers for a few hours - even if it's only once a week. They are in 25 Gorg Borg Olivier Street, Sliema, close to the St James Hospital and Victoria Hotel.
'We now have around thirty volunteers of many different nationalities - French, Ukrainian, Russian, Romanian, Estonian, Swedish, Spanish, South African, English, Welsh, Scottish and Maltese!'
'Paws 4 A Cause Shop opened its doors in September 2010 with a handful of volunteers eager to make this project work and from then on the shop has gone from strength to strength.' Want to help the animals? Want to make new friends? Share some laughs and have fun? Want to learn new skills?
'NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!!!
Our only requirements are:
* Older than 18
* English is a must!
* Willing to work hard, but also enjoy what you are doing :)

Hi rooikat, you may also post an advert in Malta Jobs section!;)

Thanks,
Harmonie.

Thanks Harmonie - I tried but it does not allow me to do so if I don't use my own email address (which would be a bit silly) as volunteers need to contact paws4acause and not myself! I have emailed them and suggested they place a post on the Expat.com;)

I sincerely hope they have more luck scaring up volunteers than I have.  I have been trying to get help for YMCA Homeless for months now but nobody seems interested.

Maybe four legs works better.  grin

Good luck on your search.
