Expatriation prochaine en Islande

Bonjour à tous,

Mon époux et moi-même ayons pour projet de nous expatrier à Reykjavík d'ici un an.
Nous sommes tombés amoureux de l'Islande à la faveur d'un voyage de 3 semaines en mai dernier. Nous avons rencontré nombre de français vivant sur le territoire Islandais depuis plusieurs années qui nous ont vanté les mérites de ce pays pour les expatriés.
Or nous souhaiterions, avant d'entamer les démarches, avoir des réponses à plusieurs questions:

- Nous sommes tous deux freelance en Informatique et journalisme. Ces secteurs sont ils porteurs en Islande?
- Nous avons une société en France. Nous aimerions garder le siège social en France et travailler depuis Reykjavík. Il y a t il des personnes ayant déjà tenté l'aventure?
- Nous projetons d'avoir un enfant sur le territoire Islandais. Quelles sont les modalités pour la sécurité sociale, les assurances santé, les congés maternité et paternité?
- Nous souhaitons emménager dans le centre de Reykjavík. Avez vous quelques contacts?
- En ce qui concerne les connexions internet, sont elles stables et rapides?

I can at least answer some of your questions, however. I do hope your English speaking/reading is decent though (assuming you don't already speak Icelandic) because it's basically the unofficial second language of the country.

Finding places to rent is challenging but here's one of the busiest free websites in Iceland. I suggest learning some of the essential housing vocabulary words in Icelandic: https://bland.is/classified/?categoryId=59&sub=1

finally, internet in Reykjavik is generally quite fast and stable. It's one of the most wired countries in the world (if you're counting per capita, which Iceland usually does when trying to impress people).
