English speaking public schools?

beppi

Since I didn't know Bilingo, I also looked at their website, which makes a good impression and presents the concept pretty well. It is VERY unusual in having a school uniform - in fact it's the only school in Germany I know which has them!
There is no mention about the fees (other than that they depend on your income), but you can rest assured that is is NOT EUR400/year - if you get into there for EUR400/month, consider yourself lucky: Most private school cost a multiple of that!

Thanks for the detailed reply. I did clarify the fees. Its 550 euro per month. 80 euro per mnth is lunch fee and yes there is a registration fee of euro 200.
I am out of germany currently and also doing some search on net on this front.
Will also check the links you provided. Thanks again.
Regards,
Sachin.

At EUR630/month (incl. meals), this is a cheap private school. Many others charge EUR1000 and more.

Pets?
Are you sure you posted this on the right thread?!?

I was responding to someone looking for public English speaking schools.  It also covered pets traveling aboard.

Oh, sorry, it was not clear what you referred to - and of course I didn’t re-read the entire (long) thread!

Hello, My husband is being offered a job in Bonn, Germany. I have 2 Kids (4 and a half and 2 yo).  None of us speak German and the international school fees are really high. I have no idea if my eldest daughter will adjust easily. I still dont understand completely on how the educational system works for my kid's age.

Do your kids attend an international school? or is it a public one?

I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

Hi there is a great Facebook group called [link moderated]

If you search that thread they’ll tell you everything about the system.

I realise they won’t be much help for actual schools in Bonn but at least they know the system for NRW ;)

LauraNathi: Kids at that age adapt and learn languages at an amazing speed, so there is no need to worry about them entering a normal German primary school (which starts at 6 years old, but can be delayed until seven).
You could give the older one a head start by entering her in some kids' German classes even before your move - and certainly after arrival until school begins!
